Forms of Social Change

  Social change is every society will not have the same change, because there is a rapidly changing slowly, or changes big and small. It is a form of social change. Social change can be distinguished in some form. Well let us together see what forms of social change mentioned above.

Forms of Social Change, namely:

A. Changes in the fast and slow change.

Social change takes place rapidly, generally referred to as the revolution. The principal of the revolution is the presence of the changes that occur rapidly, in addition to the changes regarding the basics or joints staple of human life. Changes that occur in the revolution can be planned in advance or unplanned.




Changes that occur in the revolution, the actual speed of the course change is relative, because there is a revolution that lasted long. For example, the Industrial Revolution in England, namely the changes that occur from the production process without the machine, until the production process using the machine. Such changes are considered rapid change, because change staple joints of people's lives, that is the system of relations between workers and employers.

Are said to be a revolution, if it fulfills the requirements which include:

There should be a general desire to hold a change. In society there should be a feeling of discontent with the state, and there should be a desire to achieve an improvement in the situation changes.
The presence of a leader or a group of people who are considered capable of leading the community.
Where leaders can accommodate the desires of the community to then formulate and assert a dissatisfaction had become the program and the direction of motion.
The leader must be able to demonstrate a purpose in society. What this means is that these goals primarily concrete nature and can be viewed by the public. In addition it is necessary also an abstract goal, for example, the formulation of a particular ideology.

While social changes that took place a long time, and a series of small changes that are followed by a slow, it's called evolution. Changes that occur late or evolution, usually occurs in the absence of a plan first. Evolution generally occurs due to the efforts of society to adapt to the interests, circumstances, and the new conditions that grow along with the growth of the community. The series of changes that do not need to be in line with a series of events in the history of the community concerned.

B. Changes in the Great and Small Changes That

Great social change in general is a change that will bring great influence on society. For example, the process of industrialization which is still an agrarian society. Here the social institutions will be exposed to its influence, the employment relationship, the system of land ownership, classification societies, and others.

While little social change is the changes that occur j on the elements of social structure that does not bring a direct effect on masya-, rakat. For example, changes in the shape haircut, will not bring significant influence to society as a whole. This is because not going to cause changes in social institutions.

C. Changes Planned And The Not Planned

Social change is planned, the changes that occur in society, j and this happens because it has been planned in advance by the parties-parties who clicking l want a change. Parties who want a change is called: the agent of change or agents reformer. Agent of change, a person or group of people who lead the community in changing the existing social system. Surely the agent of change is already getting the trust of the people to lead a change. Agent of change always supervising pe-i change in the desired or planned it.

While unplanned social change is the changes that are not planned or desired, and occurs outside public scrutiny and can lead to social consequences that are not expected by society. For example, the occurrence of prolonged drought and the resulting difficulty of earning enough to make a lot of community members reckless conduct criminal acts, only in order to meet their survival.

Desired changes can occur as a reaction to social changes and cultural occur at an earlier time, whether it is a change that is planned or unplanned. The occurrence of a planned change, the following changes are further developments, to a process.
